In 2004, there was a fire in my apartment where everything was destroyed. I found some metal plates that had rusted and decide to print them. It made a uniquely beautiful pattern that I decided to recreate. This large triptych was created by layering different rusted pieces of steel with different colors of ink. The triptych symbolized the three pets of mine that died as a result of that fire. I sought to create something beautiful out damage and destruction.
