I was commissioned by the Humane Society to design a unique and creative dog bed to be auctioned off to raise money for the Dr. Dolittle Fund. I decided to try and make a posh dog bed that looks like high end designer luggage. I built the base out of wood, covered it with vinyl on the outside which I then stenciled with a patterened print. The inside is covered in velvety fabric and the cushion is sewn from sturdy canvas which can be unzipped and washed. I added brass hardware to complete the faux suitcase.
